Scuba Diving Adventure Trip
Diving and Snorkeling in Sulawesi ( Celebes ) East Indonesia :
Sulawesi's dramatic tropography continues offshore, with abyssal trenches and sheer drop-offs near the ocast. In many areas strong currents bring nutrient-rich water fromt he ocean depths close to shore, creating one of the most beautiful coral environments in the world. Bunakken island near Manado is on every diver's list of favorite sites, with its incredible diversity and spectacular shelf. Taka Bone Rate spread over 2.220 square kilometres in the Flores Sea South of Sulawesi, is the third largest atoll in the world, with magnificent turquiiose watrs surround by profoundly deep blue. Several other lesser-known sites on the coasts and islands of Central Sulawesi have good reefs and several interesting ship and airplane wrecks.
The Togian Islands is the Gulf of Tomini are unique in being surrounded by all three major coral environments. The Kapoposang island south of Makassar ( UjungPandang ) offer good coral reefs and truly awesome deep-water diving. The coral near Muna and Buton is for snorklers only. Scuba Diving is a fun and safe way to see large part of the Under-Water World life. Sulawesi has its thousands of small islands which are the ideal enviroment for coral reefs. Warm and clear waters become home to many of colourful troicl fish, corals and marine mammals.
One of the magical moments in scuba diving is the encounter with a wild "animal". Anemonefish, for example, have been known to peck on the glass on your mask !
